The Inspire Awards are all about these people. Inspiration can come from a diverse range of actions. Everyone in the HDSB community can nominate or be nominated – families, neighbours, related organizations, staff, students and school volunteers!
How Do I Nominate Someone for an Inspire Award?
Do you know someone who goes above and beyond to support students in the Halton District School Board? Each nomination will be evaluated on its own merit. Inspire Award nominations will be reviewed by Trustees each month during the school year. Those most closely reflecting the criteria in an exemplary way, will be recognized. Please review the evaluation criteria as referenced in the Inspire Awards Evaluation Guide and submit the
Inspire Awards Nomination Form, including specific examples of above and beyond contributions to support students achievement and well being in the HDSB.

Who is eligible to be nominated?
An individual or a group who has/have supported students in the Halton District School Board and contributed to their success or achievement. This could include staff, students, parents, volunteers, or members of the school community who are formally or informally associated with the Halton District School Board.
Who can nominate?
Nominations may come from any stakeholder(s) associated with the Halton District School Board (either formally or informally), including students, staff, parents/guardians, volunteers, and other members of the school/Board community.
Note: Superintendents, the Director of Education, Associate Director or publicly elected trustees may not nominate people for an inspire award.
Where will the award be presented?
The Inspire Award recipient will choose the location of the presentation. The Inspire Award can be presented during the first 15 minutes of the public session of a Board meeting, or at the school/ workplace of the recipient.
